One on one? Tag team (even up to three people per team)? Or even Two on One Handicap? Everything is possible in this dice game!
You get to choose your own Mexican wrestler from two rivaling families, and determine the number of attacks, moves, pins, all by rolling the dice! But be careful, if the dice leave the ring you get counted out!

On the Board Game Convention in Essen, Germany, we had the opportunity to test this funny wrestling themed game, and even talk to the developers. Since this is wrestling, there is much space for development. Chair shots and lifts through a table can already be rolled with the dice, but for the future there could be things added like cage matches, triple threat and fatal four ways, stipulations, rivalries...!
The game is overall very closely oriented at real wrestling. Hits can be blocked or countered, you can kick out of pins or have the unfortunate honor to get another player's finishing move. You even tag in your partner by giving him a high five; but don't get too excited, maybe your opponent pulls you back into the ring!

How to play:
Both opponents roll their wrestling dice (red and blue dice) to determine hits, counters, pins, and blocks. The important thing is that the dice have to stay on the board to be valid. After counters, blocks, and hits are sorted out, the hits get rolled out (green die), and with two hits even with the stronger Luchador die (black). Pins get rolled out (yellow die) when the hits are sorted out.
Afterwards, hits get marked on the health sheet. Reaching the red areas on said sheet, the wrestler gets pinable. So either you pin your opponent or you K.O. him/her. The possibility to get out of the pin or even reverse it is there too though!
When playing in a tag team, you have to tag in your partner with a high five, rolling one of your die afterwards to see whether the pin went through. If so, your wrestler gains one health point, if not, your wrestler gets stunned and has to fight with one die less the next round, staying in the ring. The health sheet even has two sides, one for when you play one on one with more health points (21), and one for tag teams with less health points (18). In a handicap match, of course the single person gets to use the side with the more health points.
